Description: This place is a great compromise when my friends and I can't decide what to eat, as they have an extensive menu including chicken, steak, fish, vegetarian options, fresh baked desserts, and daily specials. They also serve beer and wine. For the quality of food and portions, most items are a great price. I love the fresh, delicious food that you can watch them prepare, and how quickly you can get your food. During peak hours this place fills up, but we've always managed to get a seat. I recommend looking at the menu online first, if it's your first time. Otherwise, you can grab a menu when you first walk in, and then you order at the counter. Except for peak lunch times, your food is usually ready as soon as you've walked through the line and paid. Although there aren't servers, staff is very friendly and still walks around to see if you need anything and to take your plates. It feels much more upscale than other places I've been where you order at the counter, but it's still casual. Pictured above are the backyard grilled steak "big plate" (as a hot plate) with mashed potatoes and a baby spinach salad ($11.50), rustic chicken soup ($4), and a grilled chick cobb "big salad" ($11.50). The restaurant features large plates as well as smaller portions. Each of the main dishes ("big plates") you can choose to have as a hot plate, on a simple salad, or on a sandwich.
