Description: This is a beautiful beach, accessible from the parking lot above or from the nearby Wavecrest Open Space Preserve. The beach is very clean, and during our visit around 12pm on a sunny day, there were few people, and even several parking spaces available in the parking lot. This beach requires dogs to be on-leash, and I would recommend it because of the strong current. There are also people on horseback who ride along the beach. To extend this into a hike, you can walk a couple miles up the beach to Wavecrest Open Space, where there is another trail which will take you back up along the bluffs. You can also take the paved trail from the parking lot, which leads along the bluffs into Wavecrest Open Space.
 
There are trash cans and porta potties in the parking lot but no running water, so bring plenty for you and your dog.
