During our hike we explored the Sorich Park Trail and the Dean Nyberg Trail to Rock Fort. The Sorich Park Trail is scenic and takes you through shady trees and over bridges. After a good rain, streams are abundant. You can continue this hike for another mile through Mount Tamalpais Cemetery to the American Legion Log Cabin and Memorial Park. The Rock Fort was a bit underwhelming. This is a rock formation which appears to be transformed by local kids into a hang out spot.
There is a trash can and doggie bags near the parking area. Closer to the end of San Francisco Blvd (just past the Rock Fort Trailhead), there's a small communal park on the left with a water bottle fill station. No restrooms are available in this park.
