Description: This is a large, scenic beach located next to the Wharf 2 Pier. It's beautiful at sunset, and you'll even be able to hear the seals in the distance. The beach is clean and the sand is pure, with shells and interesting rocks scattered along the beach. The beach appears to continue on for miles and is lined with beautiful trees. The water is cold but Bailey loved it. During our sunset visit there were only a few people on the beach, but quite a few off-leash dogs. Regulations state that dogs must be on-leash, but Bailey was the only on-leash dog during our visit, and I let her romp briefly without one. This beach is located next to the coastal trail, so you can extend your walk for miles. It's also the launch point for the dog-friendly Monterey Bay Kayaks.
