Description: This hidden gem is located in the Santa Cruz mountains and is home to some of the world's tallest coastal redwoods. These redwoods create shady trails surrounded by stunning forest vegetation along the San Lorenzo river. Although dogs are only allowed on a few trails, you can loop them together for a long hike. I parked outside the park entrance, walked over the bridge and onto the dirt and sand Meadow Trail. From there, you can connect to Pipeline Road, and take either the Powder Mill Fire Trail or Graham Hill Trail. The campground also allows dogs, but you must reserve a campsite in advance for a $35 fee per night. An alternate entrance is on Graham Hill Road, with free parking available in the pullout. From here, you can start your hike on Graham Hill Trail, which will connect to Pipeline Road.
