The featured trail is the main, scenic trail which is mostly flat and winds along the bluffs for a 4 mile out and back walk. This trail has elevation changes of only about 90ft. This hike surrounded me in so much beauty that I was speechless, which is a rare occurrence. The coastal trails are surrounded by vibrant green fields dotted with wildflowers and turquoise water as far as the eye can see. There are plenty of spots along the trail to sit an enjoy a picnic or catch the sunset.
There are also other unofficial or short trails near the coast. One is a cypress grove a lookout point behind the restrooms near Hesser Dr. and Ford St.
In total this park covers 347 acres. It features miles of non-coastal interior trails along the river. Another entrance for these trails can be found off of Big River Road (not pictured).
