Description: Starting near 32nd Ave will allow you to hike the entire park, which begins on the flat Coastal Trail and quickly takes your breath away with a stunning view of the Golden Gate Bridge. A perfectly placed bench awaits you at this lookout. You will continue to hike downward, then up a staircase, and down a longer staircase. You will come to an unmarked trail with a garbage can on the left side and a callbox on the right side. Take the set of stairs down to your right. When the stairs end, continue forward and take the rocky trail down to your right. Be careful, as this is an awkward scramble. You will then see the labyrinth around the corner. Take the same awkward trail back up, and then continue up to your right to get a great view of the labyrinth from directly above. From here, you can take the trail down on the other side to a small, rocky beach. This beach is known for powerful currents, so it's not a great place to swim but it's a peaceful place to relax. If you head back up the staircase you came down, you can either retrace your steps back to the left of the callbox, or continue right to hike to Sutro Baths.
This trail has a lot of shade and rarely gets hot. The only time I would avoid this trail is in on extremely windy days. There are restrooms and running water at the Lands End visitor center, above Sutro Baths (at the Lands End Lookout parking lot). The visitor's center is open 9 A.M. to 5 P.M.
